Diarmuid, confusing pocasters all over the world.

Were Smelly and Dogs fighting for who could be the most controversial after Yoshi left? That was outrageous, funny but outrageous.

I’m fine with letting stupid lazy people waste their money though. I won’t so y’know. They can do it if they want. I only object to it if it feels like content is locked to me specifically because I’ve not paid extra on top of the purchase price.

I think you may have just created a thing whenever I quote you now… xD Or at least until people get confused.

Based on the last few minutes of this episode, I’m thinking I should never leave these two alone again.

I was wondering if you’d listen yoshi. the last bit was GREAT!!!! Jim going to have to listen to the whole thing again, I had some comments but I forgot them already. However i do have a tip for everyone, Do NOT let Michael J. Fox hold your newborn baby!!!

Also do not let Michael J. Fox give you a pop.

In your faces DogsDie and Smelly. Michael J. owns the hardest.

Who will speak for the consoles?  Seems like everyone thinks they’re on their last legs.  While there is some stuff on Steam that looks intriguing, I love my Sony exclusives so I can’t see myself moving over to Steam anytime soon.

Aren’t there sweatshops in China where people grind on WoW?  New level of soul-destroying.  Maybe this pay for perks isn’t so bad.

Sim City?  Anyone ever hear of a game called, I don’t know, Tomb Raider? No?  Having to be online to play a game is ridiculous.  A lot of people in this world do not have good internet!  People in rural areas.  It’s a new age of the haves and the have nots.  Ugh.

  9. Pretty awesome show guys. I’m kind of excited for the steam box myself if it in fact does play my whole steam library. Unfortunately, from what I understand, it’ll most likely be running Linux. Which means only games on steam that are linux versions of the games will be playable.

Due to me buying nearly all bundles, i’ve ended up with quite a vast collection of games. Most of these (especially the bigger games that i’d prefer to play) won’t be available if the box itself is running a form of linux.

Anyway thanks for the great show again, it was epic.

I’m an offline gamer my favorite games are Mass Effect, Fallout, Elder Scrolls and I enjoy playing multiplayer games with the wife and daughter split screen like Resident Evil, Borderlands, Splinter Cell. So any move to have always online  will really put me off.

Currently I mostly game on a old non wifi xbox 360 not wired to the net so even the trend to fix games after release annoys me.

  11. Sadly Zombellic, there’s no turning back from that trend. Game companies assume that we’re always connected now and for the most part, we are. For those that aren’t, you aren’t their target market anymore. Sad truth.

After playing the most recent beta of Sim City I’m more convinced that always online is more than fine with me on this title, but preferred! I love the dynamic of a global market and region play with friends. Can’t wait for March 5th!

As always, thanks for listening everyone! I don’t even remember what Smelly and I discussed after Yoshi left so I’ll have to go back and listen again =P

Great show guys. I agree with Yoshi, it’s pretty depressing when you get old and don’t have time to play video games anymore. I remember staying up for hours on end playing, now I’m lucky to get a few hours in a month.

I actually spend much more time listening to podcasts about video games (everything on BRB) than playing them. Sad but true.

Yeah I hear ya. If only I could play while on my drive to and from work

I think I have arrived at the next stage of this development, where I just don’t care anymore. I miss the days that I could play for hours on end, but now even when I have hours, I find myself wanting to do something else. I was shocked and chagrined over how bored I was with the big PS4 reveal yesterday. Follow Hip Hop Gamer on twitter if you want to hear the opposite of that reaction. I think he threatened to eat the paternal grandmother of anyone that didn’t think it was the biggest announcement of all time.

Smelly, Its time we regained our childhood. Get the DVDs of “Pete and Pete” and “Salute Your Shorts” ready. Ohh don’t forget “The Real Ghostbusters” too.

  16. No childhood reclaiming project will happen without DJ Tanner being involved.

  17. I can safely say that I’m not yet in the same boat as Smelly.  Surprisingly when I have free time I am still pouring it into video games.  Right now it’s BF3, Dota 2, and Civ 5 (in that order).  On March 5th it will be Sim City and MLB 13 The Show.  I still waste plenty of time playin games! thumb

Shamefully, I haven’t had a problem finding time to game as I’ve been unemployed for the last year, not that any of the Boom hosts would know what that’s like…But that’s all about to change as I start a full-time testing job with Activision Blizzard next month. Now when am I gonna find time to play games?!!

Ain’t got no love for the PS4 or hip-hop gamer. Don’t jump the couch; just how it gotta be!

Well, that’s a really funny thing!
