BRB Boom 19: The Sexting Incident

It’s time, once again, to put boom in your boom and listen to BRB Boom.  This week Dogs Die, Smelly Pirate and Yoshifett nerd out with Mormon stories, The Amazing Spider man, a rather large list of questions from the BRB community and other topics that affect today’s gamer.

Please be sure to subscribe to the BRB Boom feed on iTunes or RSS. If you insist, you can always just download the mp3. If you are currently using a computer with iTunes on it, would you mind heading over there and leaving some feedback?

    first 20 minutes was the funniest bit of recording ever.

    Yoshi, your argument is invalid because you have NOT SEEN THE MOVIE! INSTA INVALID!

    Also there was a movie called the Avengers made in 2000.

    Dude, that movie’s from 1998 and was about 2 Brits stopping Sean Connery from ruling the world with a weather machine. I, for one, feel that “Deep Throat” worked much better as a porn film than as the guy who ratted out Nixon in ’72 for Watergate. Your point is a non-point.

    Glad to see the gloves come off on that sexism issue we were having a couple weeks ago 🙂 Listening to you guys helps me maintain the masculinity of my self-image when I’m washing the dishes, doing the laundry ..or any other women’s work for that matter.

    Hilarious show, nice one!

    These guys are like parents, I don’t like hearing them argue. ;_;
    However, I do enjoy hearing about their sexting.

    I thought the 1st of the previous spiderman trilogy was much better than this spiderman.

    I don’t read comics.

    Suck it.

    Loving the episodes of late. The sexting thing made me uncomfortable to listen to in the best way.

    Interesting discussion on Boom this week. While I can see Yoshi’s point about making a reboot too soon after the original trilogy, I think Smelly’s point is well taken to actually see the movie and judge it on its own merits.

    It seems to me that it would be unlikely that all of the same actors would (be able to) sign on for another three or however many films in a continuation series. That said, I think it makes economic sense for a studio to keep a lucrative license, but the way in which it is done is key, which relates back to Smelly’s point about the film itself. Also too, a lot of the world’s great artworks were created for economic gain (the artist has to eat too), so I’m not sure that’s a reasonable metric for judging the finished product.

    @DD Is a sexting yousical in the works?

    You buy it, I’ll sext it!

  8. Halfway through the show:

    “Anyway, let’s get on with the show. Today we’ll talk about…”

    Brilliant.

  9. Gerald Mouse

    The first 3 Spider-Man movies made me not want to read the comics for the character (I do like the cartoons, though). This reboot, imo, was much better than all of them.

    Good show. thumb

    feature=related

    *Interruption* “Hang on, I’ve got one more thing to say on this…” *Lasts to the end of the episode*

    Groundbreaking.
