BRB UK 112: Peace Pants

The BRB podcasting time-space anomaly continues – so Dan, Jon and Tim are talking to you from the past this week. Which means they’ll sound a bit confused about Gamescom not having happened yet, even though it has.

This week, we burble about:

  • EA Access (UK prices confirmed after we recorded at £3.99/month or £19.99/year)
  • Xbox One’s TV dongle
  • Evolve delayed until February 2015
  • Bioshock makes its way to iThings
  • Codemasters get in hot water over the ‘new’ Colin McRae Rally game
  • A chap from the US gets far too upset about Killzone: Shadow Fall’s multiplayer not running in ‘true’ 1080p
  • Twitch’s controversial policy changes
  • Gamescom 2014 lineups
  • Pure Pool (PS4/Vita)
  • Rogue Legacy (PS3/PS4/Vita)
  • Metrico (Vita)

We’re running a little behind with our orders in BRB UK towers – this show was recorded on Thursday 7th August 2014.

We’d love to hear from you, so feel free to drop us a line (or even a short MP3) at brbuk@bigredbarrel.com.

We appreciate you chaps and chapettes taking time out of your week to listen to our show. For your convenience, you can simply download the MP3 by clicking HERE or you can subscribe via iTunes, RSS or Zune and stay up to date.

Good show as always guys. Not exactly enamoured with the idea of EA access as it’s just another way to milk money from us, the consumer. Bioshock on iPad? This doesn’t sound good to me. Great that they are trying to get more people into the series but…..on a touch screen? I don’t like this idea. Touch screen control is so difficult to get right plus ‘it looks like balls’? A fairly large piece of what makes it unique I the design of the worlds and characters. I’ll stop whinging now.
