  1. I’m not bored of Wes Anderson’s style yet, I just wish he’d use it in other genres.

Also if you’re going to do Star Trek, I think it should be all of the odd numbered movies thumb

You guys say Ricky Gervais funny.

Welcome back fellas! Glad to hear the gang is back together!
Stange to hear you’ve been re-listening to the starwars podcasts… I’ve just been going back and listening to them for the first time while waiting for you guys to post new episodes. I am almost to the prequels and waiting on baited breath for the dreaded “water core” I’ve heard so much about.
I would LOVE to hear a BKR about the Indian Jones trilogy + one, or perhaps Primer… because Primer (and it was fun enough hearing you guys jump around in Memento).
Lastly, to Yoshi: MOMENT! THERE IS NO ‘L’ IN THE WORD MOMENT. <3

The IT Crowd is filmed in front of a live audience by the way to put the “laugh track” into perspective.

OH S\*\*t! Hear that, Yoshi. Now you’ve got no excuse.

Best show for laugh track was Red Dwarf without a doubt!

Laugh tracks never bothered me until I watched Arrested Development and Community now I always feel like a modern comedy with a laugh track is showing it’s fans a lack of respect.

On the flip side, the switch from the old Daily Show without a studio audience to the current version exemplifies how important hearing audience reaction is. I agree that Arrested Development is a shining example of how to create comedies without the need for a laugh track or audience, but at the same time I think any comedian would agree that the mood of a room plays a massive role in how well their routines go. I don’t think I’d ever want to watch a comedian’s bit without hearing an audience reacting to it. I understand that I’m talking about two different things: laugh track vs live audience, but for a show that doesn’t work as a standard play-style format (few locations that can be done on a stage with minimal video footage), having a laugh track can be a big help. Food for thought.
