BRB UK 82: Episode 81 Part II

We’re back! Excitement! Console launches! PlayStation 4! Dan! Tim! Also, Jon.

This week, we prattle on about:

  • The PlayStation 4 hit the mean streets of the USA
  • The Xbox One hadn’t hit any streets (mean or otherwise) when we recorded
  • LEGO Marvel Superheroes
  • Battlefield 4

We appreciate you chaps and chapettes taking time out of your week to listen to our show. For your convenience, you can simply download the MP3 by clicking HERE or you can subscribe via iTunes, RSS or Zune and stay up to date.

  1. You have no idea how happy I am to have a new episode to listen to on such a rubbish day.

  2. ^ Sorry to hear you are having a bad day Mr Coleman, glad to have brightened it up for you somewhat. If you are around join us at Loading for further comforting/cheering up/drinking = )

  3. As much as I hate to turn down a night of alcohol, gaming and possible man love, I’m far to swamped and poor for tonight. :(

  4. Ricardo Kirkabon

“What you’re saying is you have user interface Stockholm syndrome.” Supreme linguistic jujitsu from Jon. Didn’t know you had it in you. Good episode so far gents.

  5. Aurochs

Good episode guys, cheers! Seems like we’re finally free from the slight time-warp we were caught in for the past few weeks.
Also the beginning of the review of Lego Marvel Superheroes was one of the greatest Tim-reviews ever: “You can walk round the city and there’s things and stuff to do”. Brilliant, cheers! :p But in seriousness, that game does sound pretty awesome, haven’t played a lego game in a few years, maybe this is the place to pick them back up.

Can’t wait to get some first hand responses from the new consoles as well.

  6. Ridcullys Hat

Excellent episode chaps, as always. I have to thank Dan for making me look like an idiot in public. As I was starting the episode, I had just got into my town centre and I suddenly hear Dan exclaim that he had deep throated Christmas. Cue my sudden and very loud guffaw and alot of very puzzled and judging stares from the local patrons of said town. It wouldn’t have been so bad apart from the fact I have just started back at work and the fact that I work as a nurse auxhilary means that the public were suddenly faced with a slightly overweight male nurse laughing loudly in their general direction. still, was quite possibly the greatest intro to podcast. Ever!

Great show people. Two episode 81s? Is this an old man thing?

Played the demo and loved it, will definitely pick this up after I destroy the pile of shame I have built up since Saints Row 4. Its not a big pile, but there are RPGs in it…

I am glad I ignored the bad reviews as I ended up liking it a lot. I can understand some of the criticisms – combat is simplistic and there is not much replay value for a relatively short game. It is a bit of a one trick pony, but a trick that I really liked – the basic combat is brutally and I found it really fun. Either grab it cheap, rent it or plan to trade it in and you should come away happy thumb

If it was me I’d have woken up my kids AND neighbours doing that.

No, but now I pretty much have to next time I play! I do like some of the taunts that you can do with the characters though toothysmile
